COMMON CONCERN
The fashion industry is responsible for up to 10% of global carbon emissions. We place sustainability at the heart of everything we do. It's a constantly evolving goal and definition, we don't have the answers to all these issues but we want to focus on the efforts that have the greatest impact on our planet.
We have chosen to act in 4 areas that we consider essential: the product, people, the planet and progress.
FRIENDLY WORKSHOPS
At Almé, we take great care in choosing the suppliers we work with. This rigorous selection process fosters partnerships with people who share our ethical vision of fashion, and we are keen to establish close, trust-based ties with them, so as to foster fluid exchanges that enable us to jointly reflect on the continuous improvement of our practices.
OEKO-TEX® MATERIALS
The OEKO-TEX® system makes it possible to quickly identify and eliminate potential sources of problem substances at every stage of processing. As soon as a material undergoes further processing, or its chemical composition changes, a check is required.
Oekotex also checks dyed fabric for hazardous chemicals. It checks for the presence of carcinogenic substances, azo dyes and other chemical limits in accordance with European REACH standards.
